Founder's Award

Mark Lazarus, Chairman, NBC Broadcasting and Sports

Bestowed upon an individual who has made pioneering contributions to philanthropy through their time, talent and resources to impact society and enhance the lives of generations to come.

Brian France and Lesa France Kennedy presented Mark Lazarus with the Founder's Award for positively imacting the lives of many children throughout the country through his involvement with the Boys and Girls Club of America, mixed-income housing, education and health care. Lazarus pledged, "to continue to support the Foundation's mission as we have the great responsibility of shaping our yourth through sports, community involvement and more."

Children's Champion Award

Howard B. Ginsburg, MD, Director of Pediatric Surgery, NYU Langone Medical Center

Bestowed upon a medical professional by showcasing their significant contributions, leadership and dedication to enriching the lives of children.

Amy France presented the Speediatrics Children’s Champion Award to Dr. Howard B. Ginsburg in celebration of NYU Langone Medical Center’s outstanding commitment to enhancing the delivery of medical services to children.At the culmination of the evening Dr. Ginsburg said, "Consider yourself extremely fortunate when you are able to look back on your career and understand with full clairty there is nothing else in the world I would have preferred to do."

Betty Jane France Humanitarian Award presented by Nationwide

Andy Hoffman, Founder of Team Jack Foundation

Andy Hoffman was chosen as the winner of the Betty Jane France Humanitarian Award, which honors a NASCAR fan who embodies the ideals of charity and community that our founder Betty Jane France has championed through her life.

He was nominated for his tremendous efforts founding and volunteering with the Team Jack Foundation.  He works tirelessly to promote pediatric brain cancer research and national awareness for the disease the affects his son Jack. Ben Kennedy and Jennifer France Bates presented Andy with the award after he was chosen as the winner from four finalists via fan vote where over 85,000 votes were cast.  Each finalist was guaranteed a $25,000 donation to their children's charity with the winning charity receiving a $100,000 donation.

The NASCAR Foundation is dedicated to helping children live happier, healthier lives.
