The NASCAR Foundation Scholarship Program

The NASCAR Foundation Scholarship Program

Scholars At-track

In an effort to further our focus on education, we established a scholarship program in 2014 to assist students in Volusia County, Florida who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. Scholarships are offered for full-time study at an accredited Florida institution of the student's choice. The program annually distributes a minimum of 10 one time awards of $2,500 for undergraduate study. Proceeds from the Taste of the 24 event at Daytona International Speedway fund the scholarship program - thank you attendees and sponsors!

Since the program's inception, we are pleased that a wide breath of Volusia County high schools are represented amongst our 20 scholarship recipients to date. Schools include Deland High School, Deltona High School, Father Lopez Catholic High School, Pine Ridge High School, Seabreeze High School, Spruce Creek High School, T Dewitt Taylor High School, University High School and Warner Christian Academy.

About Our 2015 Class

What this scholarship means

With our goal in extending opportunities for youth to explore the behind-the-scenes world of NASCAR, we were thrilled to host this year's scholarship recipients and their parents for a tour of Daytona International Speedway and participate in a lunch 'n learn with Foundation staff!

Our recipients were enthusiastic to share which college they are attending this fall: Flagler College, Stetson University, University of Central Florida, University of Florida and the University of South Florida. Many also have their sights on a particular major; those making the cut included Biochemistry, Biology, Biomedical Science, Communication, English, Environmental Science, Mathematics Education and Pre-Med.

Congratulations once again to all our 2015 recipients!
