Only the best for new mothers and their babies at Homestead Hospital

Through the Speediatrics Children’s Fund, The NASCAR Foundation is proud to continue our support of Homestead Hospital’s mission to support excellence, innovation, community wellness, and global leadership in healthcare.

In 2016, more than 1,500 births occurred at Homestead Hospital, with 483 of those births by emergency C-section. As a result of this need for safer equipment to provide the best care possible for these new mothers, The NASCAR Foundation provided Homestead Hospital with a grant to purchase new obstetrics tables.

Since the tables were installed, more than 200 cesarean sections have been performed. The new equipment helps to improve the safety and comfort of the patients that have to undergo cesarean sections – making mother and baby healthier and happier after birth.

”The NASCAR Foundation has been a crucial component in the historic success of Homestead Hospital’s pediatric programs,” Homestead Hospital Director of Institutional Giving Megan Cottle said. “We are grateful that the NASCAR Foundation continues to embrace the need to care for our smallest patients.”
