For more than 30 years, Roc Solid Foundation has been building hope for children and families fighting pediatric cancer by offering opportunities for them to do what they do best – PLAY.
However, because of challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, playset builds scheduled for earlier this year had to be put on hold. This was disappointing to many families, including the family of 5-year-old Allison.
Back in April, a playset build was originally scheduled for little Allison who is fighting Pre B Cell ALL. Unfortunately, the build had to be postponed. Now with new safety procedures and guidelines, The NASCAR Foundation and NASCAR employees from Charlotte and Concord rallied together to build hope for Allison.
Allison was filled with joy when she first saw her new playset because she loves to play outside. She also loves to eat her favorite food pizza and wear her favorite color pink!
Allison and her family now have a safe place where they can play and create more memories together. Not only does a new backyard playset provide a safe haven for play, but it also represents an escape from the reality of fighting cancer, and most importantly, hope for the future.
We hope to see more pictures of Allison’s contagious smile and laughter! ?
Allison’s build marks our third play set build with Roc Solid Foundation through our Speediatrics Children’s Fund. Learn more about Roc Solid Foundation, and their mission to provide hope for children fighting cancer, by visiting https://rocsolidfoundation.org/
