Pediatric patients at Norton Children’s Hospital in Louisville, KY had a fun surprise to start off their 2019. NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series driver Ben Rhodes delivered NASCAR Foundation Speedy Bears and visited with children being treated at the hospital.
Armed with Speedy Bears and other NASCAR themed gifts, Rhodes was excited to get his day started.

Being sick and undergoing treatment can be stressful for anyone, but especially for children. So, Ben, who is a Louisville native, made the visit to help take the children’s minds off their every day life at the hospital.
“The fun part is going in there and seeing all the different personalities. You have some that are really shy, and some that are, what we call in racing, ‘Up on the pit’, so they are really excited. Their personalities shine through, and that’s fun.”
