A beautiful, yet breezy day with wind gusts of nearly 15 mph, set the stage for a unique fundraiser that has become an annual tradition in the Daytona Beach community. Despite challenges faced during a worldwide pandemic, participants were not deterred from coming together for a very worthy cause.
On November 18th, members of the Daytona Beach community joined The NASCAR Foundation and Easterseals Northeast Central Florida for the 4th annual Over the Edge at ONE DAYTONA fundraiser. More than 85 participants each fundraised a minimum of $1,000 to secure their spots on the ropes to rappel down the 102-foot-tall International Motorsports Center at ONE DAYTONA to benefit children with special healthcare needs.
Rappellers included local community leaders, business people, non-profit leaders and members of the NASCAR industry including Rev Racing Driver Isabella Robusto and NASCAR President Steve Phelps.
