What an incredible start to the 2021 NASCAR Season! The competition on the track has been fierce, as have our efforts been to jump start our efforts to inspire children to live a healthy lifestyle through the Speediatrics Children’s Fund.
Over the last year, in the midst of a worldwide pandemic, our team has been working hard to find new ways to implement our programs while still staying true to our mission of bringing the excitement and energy of NASCAR to kids while encouraging them to take lessons from our pit crew members and drivers on the importance of staying healthy.
This year, we will visit the areas surrounding Martinsville Speedway, Nashville Superspeedway, Watkins Glen International, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Daytona International Speedway, Charlotte Motor Speedway, Talladega Superspeedway and Phoenix Raceway.
Our first stop will be with the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Blue Ridge to bring a refreshed two-week program surrounding the spring race at Martinsville Speedway.
Prior to participation in our Speediatrics Fun Day Festival at their club locations, kids will receive our NASCAR Foundation Fit Kits and will also be treated to virtual meet-and-greets with Martinsville Speedway President Clay Campbell, The NASCAR Foundation Executive Director Nichole Krieger and a few other surprise guests from our NASCAR family.
Be sure to follow The NASCAR Foundation’s social media channels to get the latest updates on our efforts in Martinsville beginning Monday, April 5.
