In conjunction with the first-ever NASCAR Cup Series race at Nashville Superspeedway, we are excited to return to the racetrack on Friday, June 18th to host our very first Speediatrics Fun Day Festival in Nashville! For the two weeks surrounding the Nashville race weekend, children from the Murfreesboro and Smyrna locations of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Rutherford County are learning about the importance of living a healthy and happy life, as well as about the sport of NASCAR.
On Tuesday, June 15 the kids at the clubs had the amazing opportunity to hear from Nashville Superspeedway President Erik Moses, NASCAR Cup Series Driver for Richard Childress Racing Tyler Reddick, The NASCAR Foundation Executive Director Nichole Krieger and Speediatrics Mascot Safety Sam during a virtual meet-and-greet.
When asked about the importance of living a healthy lifestyle to race car drivers Tyler told the kids, “You’ve got to be physically and mentally really sharp. And the only way to do that is to get out and exercise. Whether that is running or being active throughout the day!”
The virtual visit concluded with Nichole and Safety Sam leading the kids in different warm-up exercises to get ready for the rest of their day of NASCAR-themed programming. Even Tyler joined in on the fun!

Next up – we’ll see the kids again at Nashville Superspeedway for an afternoon full of NASCAR-themed fun. Be sure to stay tuned for more updates!
