The NASCAR Foundations Hurricane Relief Efforts

The NASCAR Foundation is proud to have joined the NASCAR Community in supporting those affected by Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton, storms that have devastated areas in Western North Carolina, Eastern Tennessee and Florida this September and October.

Hurricane Helene Relief Efforts
We were joined by Yellawood in each making a $100,000 to American Red Cross to directly impact the families affected in Western North Carolina. Through our donations, we have helped American Red Cross provide:

  • About 83,800 meals and snacks served with partners
  • More than 3,100 relief supplies distributed to 860 households
  • More than 23,400 overnight shelter stays provided with partners

The NASCAR Foundation also came alongside FoodCity to donate $50,000 to the United Ways of Southwest Virginia and Northeast Tennessee to benefit area flood relief efforts in communities devastated in Eastern Tennessee and Southwest Virginia. The United Ways are continuing to collect and provide supplies to families affected by the floods and are committed to helping families rebuild their homes over the next 24 – 36 months.

Hurricane Milton Efforts
Hurricane Milton brought rain and flooding throughout the state of Florida. In the Daytona Beach area, we have supported Food Brings Hope’s efforts to supply affected first responder medical workers with vital care items, including non-perishable foods, fresh fruits and vegetables, and much-needed cleaning kits to help them as they recover. These supplies will make a significant impact in helping them regain a sense of stability during this challenging time.
