NASCAR México and Challenge Series drivers Alex de Alba Jr., Xavi Razo, Rubén García Jr., Regina Sirvent, Santos Zanella Jr., and Eloy Sebastián López, along with NASCAR officials including Arlette Fernández, Marielkis Salazar, and Esteban Canales, visited the CRIT (Children’s Rehabilitation Center) in Puebla. They spent time with the children receiving therapy at the institution and gave them Speedy Bears from The NASCAR Foundation. This bear is part of NASCAR’s social responsibility activities and was introduced in Mexico this year for the final race of the 2025 season, which will take place on November 9 at the Miguel E. Abed Autodrome in Amozoc, Puebla.

The Director of CRIT Puebla, Mr. Enrique Ibarrondo, welcomed everyone and expressed his gratitude for the visit. He emphasized the importance of NASCAR’s initiative and time spent with the children currently recovering at CRIT Puebla.

Marielkis Salazar from NASCAR’s Communications team, introduced the drivers to the large group of children and their families who attended the event, sharing each driver’s career story with them.

The drivers spoke about the importance of never giving up and assured the children that if they keep fighting for what they want, they will surely achieve it.

Razo shared that his battle is not only on the track but also in life, as he managed to overcome cancer while also trying to have a successful career in motorsport. De Alba, who ended up winning the NASCAR Mexico Series championship, highlighted the importance of discipline and never giving up on your dreams.

Regina Sirvent, the only female driver at the event, spoke about the importance of representation and having a plan to become a role model for young girls. Sirvent also shared how discipline from a young age allowed her to achieve her goals, which led her to race not only in Mexico but also in the United States. Eloy López said his love for motorsport comes from his father, who always wanted to be a driver but couldn’t make it, and now he’s living his dream along his dad.

Santos Zanella Jr. also had an inspirational message for the group, praising the children and calling them heroes for the daily battles they fight along with their parents. Rubén García Jr., five-time NASCAR Mexico Series champion, was the last one to talk to the group. He shared the challenges he has faced along his career path and encouraged them to keep working hard so they can make it to the finish line.

At the end of the event the kids and their parents had the opportunity to ask questions about the path to become a NASCAR driver, their lifestyle and how fast cars go on the track.
