How fun! You are headed to the track to attend an upcoming NASCAR race! The drivers have practiced and prepared for months leading up to this race so that YOU can watch them race toward the finish line!
Like the drivers, you too should be prepared for the race, and The NASCAR Foundation’s own Safety Sam has a few helpful tips to make sure you have an AWESOME time at the track!
Before the Race:
- Check the weather – you’ll need to know what to wear with your favorite driver t-shirt!
- Pack toiletries, daily medicine and everything else you will need for the entire race weekend
- Get plenty of sleep the night before the race – you’ll need all your energy for the track!
At the Track:
- Bring and wear ear protection – soundproof earmuffs or earplugs can do the trick!
- Wear sunscreen and sun glasses to protect from the sun
- Wear comfy, but safe, clothes and shoes
- Kids – stay with your parent/guardian or the adult in charge
- Be sure to refuel and hydrate with healthy snacks and water
- And… be sure to have fun!
